  • Q The electric spindle is heating.

    A
    Cause of failure Troubleshooting methods
    Excessive load causes heating:
    1. Improper processing parameters.
    2. Severe tool wear.
    1. Modify process parameters.
    2. Replace tools in time.
    Poor cooling:
    1. Cooling machine failure.
    2. Cooling pipeline blockage.
    3. Coolant algae.
    4. Ambient temperature is too high .                     
    5. Improper cooling medium.
    1. Eliminate cooling machine failure.
    2. Clear pipelines.
    3. Regularly replace coolant and clean cooling system.
    4. Adjust the temperature difference of the room temperature  synchronization mode. of the refrigerator by 5℃-7℃, so that the liquid temperature is at least lower than 35℃.
    5. Consult Jiujiu Seiko technicians to replace with suitable coolant.
    The bearing lubrication condition is not good:
    1. The new spindle or the electric spindle that has just been  repaired is installed and used for the first time.
    2. The electric spindle that has been unused for a long  time is restored to use for the first time.  
    3. Bearing grease failure (loss,contamination, deterioration).  
    4. Bearing wear.
    1. Items 1-2 are for first use and need to be run-in according to the running-in requirements before use.
    2. Items 3-4 need to be returned to the factory for repair Correct the frequency conversion parameter settings according to the matching parameters (requires professional operation).
    The electric spindle drive parameter settings do not match. Correct the frequency conversion parameter settings according to the matching parameters (requires professional personnel to operate).

  • Q After the machine tool is powered on, the inverter has a display but the servo drive does not Fault cause.

    A Fault cause
    1. The main power supply is missing a phase.
    2. Servo transformer failure.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Check the three-phase voltage at the machine tool power supply line.
    2. Replace the servo transformer.

  • Q The Z-axis movement sound is abnormal, or the servo drive "overload" alarm occurs during processing.

    A Fault cause
    The Z-axis brake is not opened.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Check the brake cable connection.
    2. Check the brake power supply (24VDC).

  • Q After entering the automatic processing interface, the machine tool does not move (both manual and handwheel can move).

    A Fault cause
    Is the feed rate set to 0.

    Rotate the "feed rate" switch to the appropriate value.

  • Q The electric spindle does not rotate after turning on the spindle speed.

    A Fault cause
    1. The spindle cable is not connected or the cable is abnormal.
    2. Inverter failure.
    3. Electric spindle failure.

    Troubleshooting reasons.
    1. Reconnect the spindle or check the cable.
    2. Replace the inverter.
    3. Replace the electric spindle.

  • Q Z-axis tool jam occurs during processing.

    A Fault cause
    1. File and processing path errors.
    2. Z car coupling joint is loose.
    3. There is excess material blocking the Z axis optical inspection.
    4. The Z car optical inspection signal is unstable.
    5. The electric spindle sleeve is loose.
     
    Troubleshooting reasons
    1. Redesign the processing path.
    2. Tighten the coupling joint.
    3. Clear the excess material of the Z axis optical inspection.
    4. Reconnect the cable.
    5. Tighten the electric spindle sleeve.

  • Q One axis moves in one direction during processing.

    A Fault cause
    1. Is the control card properly inserted.
    2. Check 37 Is the core wire firmly connected.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Plug and unplug the control card and install it firmly.
    2. Connect the 37 core wires firmly.

  • Q Multi-axis misalignment occurs during processing.

    A Fault cause
    1. Multi-axis misalignment is rarely caused by mechanical reasons. Most of them are related to the control computer, control card plug-in and power grid stability.
    2. Check whether the power line h and other control lines l are firmly connected.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Re-plug the control card, or replace the control computer, or add a voltage stabilizer, or balance the power grid.
    2. Re-plug each cable.

  • Q A certain axis is misaligned during processing.

    A Cause of failure
    1. The coupling is loose.
    2. The end cover of the pressure bearing is loose.
    3. The line connection is not firm (especially the drive part of the misaligned axis.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Tighten the hexagon socket screw on the coupling or replace the coupling.
    2. Tighten the end cover in a clockwise direction and then tighten it with a screw.
    3. Reconnect the connecting wires.

  • Q A certain axis of the machine tool does not move.

    A Cause of failure
    1. The control card has poor contact.
    2. The 37 core wire has poor contact with the I/0 converter.
    3. The electric spindle cable is not connected or has poor contact.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Reinstall the control card.
    2. Reconnect the 37 core wire.
    3. Reconnect the electric spindle cable.

  • Q When calibrating the origin, the X and Y axes of the machine tool move in the positive direction or Z axis moves downward.

    A Cause of the fault
    1. Check whether the optical detector is damaged.
    2. The travel switch reed does not bounce.
    3. Is the machine tool adapter plate short-circuited due to water ingress.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Replace the optical detector.
    2. Replace the travel switch.
    3. Dry or replace the machine tool adapter plate.

  • Q The external circuit trips after the machine tool is powered on.

    A Cause of the fault
    1. Check whether the line load can meet the use requirements of the engraving machine, especially when multiple engraving machines are used at the same time.
    2. Whether the rated current of the air switch in the line can meet the use requirements of the precision engraving machine.
    3. Safely connect to the neutral line.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Ask the electrician to redistribute the three-phase circuit load to balance the circuit load before it can be used safely.
    2. Replace the appropriate air switch.
    3. Re-ground correctly.

  • Q The machine tool cannot be powered on.

    A Cause of the fault
    1. The "emergency stop" on the control cabinet operation panel or the "emergency stop" on the machine tool is pressed down (some machine tools).
    2. The "door open" in the control cabinet is not closed.
    3. The 37-core cable is not connected well.
    4. I/0 Converter abnormality.
     
    Troubleshooting methods
    1. Pop up the "Emergency Stop" button.
    2. Close the "Door Open" button.
    3. Reconnect the 37-core cable.
    4. Replace I/0.

  • Q The computer cannot start.

    A Cause of the fault
    1. The power socket is not in good contact (power phase loss).
    2. The cam switch of the control cabinet is in the "OFF" state.
    3. The power cord is damaged.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Plug the power socket firmly.
    2. Turn the cam switch to "ON".
    3. Replace the power cord.

  • Q The driver cannot be found.

    A Cause of the fault:
    1. The control card is damaged or has poor contact.
    2. When installing the software, the driver installation failed or was not installed at all.
    3. Virus caused.
     
    Troubleshooting method
    1. Replace the control card or reinstall.
    2. Reinstall the driver.
    3. Check for viruses.

  • Q One axis of the machine can only move in the same direction.

    A 1. Check the PC data cable.
    2. Check whether the machine driver wiring is loose or damaged.
    3. Check whether the motor is damaged.
    4. Improper parameter settings by the software manufacturer or PC control card problem.

  • Q The Y-axis motor is not synchronized.

    A 1. Check the signal separation board.
    2. Check the Y-axis driver or motor.
    3. Ground wire.
